A baby boy was born with two tubes growing out of his face instead of a noise in the city of
Chimbote in Peru.
The baby has been named Angelito which means little angel. The parents of the baby have been told by the doctors that he is keeping well.
The baby will have to go through an operation to treat the unnecessary growth and provide him with a normal nose. The doctors said that he is born with this condition because of a rare genetic deformity called Patau Syndrome.
Patau Syndrome is caused by a chromosomal abnormality wherein some or all cells of the body contain extra genetic material from chromosome 13. It is a very rare syndrome and happens in just one birth out of 15,000.
The doctors have said the baby's heart and respiratory system is working properly but he will need a plastic surgery and soon would look completely normal.
