The gangster’s lad Sonny, eight, has been living at a secret address since Cregan murdered two mob rivals.
Vengeful thugs vowed to target his family including Sonny and the lad’s mum, Cregan’s girlfriend Georgia Merriman, 24.
The one-eyed killer, 32, fears his boy is now in greater danger after sister Stacey, 27, put a picture of him on Facebook.
Alongside she commented that her “adorable” nephew was the spitting image of his dad. A source said: “Dale and the rest of his family can’t believe Stacey has been so stupid.
“It’s fair to say she’s not very popular at the moment.
“The threat to Sonny is still very real. Like Dale, his enemies have no morals and will do whatever it takes for revenge.”
Cregan was given a whole life sentence in 2013 after admitting murdering PCs Nicola Hughes, 23, and Fiona Bone, 32, and gangsters David Short, 46, and son Mark, 23, in Manchester.
Earlier this month we revealed that Cregan has launched a £20,000 whiplash compensation bid for two accidents in a prison van during his trial.
He is thought to be caged in Long Lartin, Worcs.
