Seven persons were killed and 20 injured in the bomb blast that occurred
today at the Malkohi Internally Displaced Persons camp in Yola, Adamawa
State.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Adamawa State
Emergency Management Agency say the incident occurred in a warehouse in
the camp.
NEMA’s Adamawa spokesman Sanni Datti said that seven of the injured
persons were treated and discharged while 13 others, including four NEMA
officials, are still receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center
in Yola.
“The bomb, which was planted inside a tent, went off this morning at around 10: 50am,” Datti said.
