A young
tattoo artist from India is so passionate about his favourite
international brands he has had 189 world famous logos etched
permanently on to his body.
Jason
George, 23, from Mumbai, in the west of the country, considers himself a
human advertising board for some of the world's best known companies.
He
is now planning to enter the book of Guinness World Records by raising
the number of brand logo tattoos he sports to 321, including those of
his favourite TV channel, social networking sites, mobile phone
networks, fast food chains and even the company that made his first
bicycle.

Speaking of
his tattoos, Mr George said: 'I know it seems insane but these tattoos
are my way of giving thanks to the brands that have made an impact on my
life.'
'All
the logos that you will find on my body have a special place in my
heart. They are related to my life in some way and I have memories and
stories attached to these brands,' he added.
Mr
George, who works as a full time tattoo artist and owns Mumbai's 21
Tattoo Studio, has so far spent £3,000 on his passion - granting him a
place in India's Limca Book of Records.
He managed
to tattoo 144 logos in just one month from May 12, last year. Since then
he has topped up the number to 189, making the grand total of 194
tattoos on his body.
'Initially, I just loved tattoos, Mr George said.
But
one day I realised no one was famous for having logo tattoos on their
body. People ink names of their loved ones but not logos that are part
of our every day life. That's when I decided to go for 321 logo tattoos
and make a world record,' he added.
Mr George, who dropped out of college at 18, said he always was happy to blend into the crowd as a teenager.
'I
was very shy and polite kid. But when I grew up I had this urge to have
a unique identity. I began to love tattoos because it makes you stand
out in a crowd,' he said.
His
businessman father George Mathew and mother Mercy George, both 44,
were against his tattoos at first but when Jason got a portrait of them
on his ribs they soon mellowed.
'My
first tattoo was a skull. It was a childish choice but I don't have any
regrets. Now I have 197 tattoos on my back, torso and legs. And I love
looking at my reflexion in the mirror.'
Mr
George now hopes to complete his 321 logo target by the end of the
month. And then he will have a place in the book of Guinness World
Records.
