Photos: ISIS militants tricked gay men into dates, arrest and throw them from rooftops

 

ISIS fanatics are setting up dates with gay men so they can lure them to their deaths, sources inside the territory controlled by the extremists have said.

The Hisbah religious police have set up a special brigade of young fighters who are tricking gay men into dates so the Islamist regime can 'prove' they are homosexual.

The men are then murdered for their so-called 'crime', often by being thrown off a roof.

If that doesn't kill them, the baying mob at the bottom of the wall has been seen to stone them to death.

A source explained to The Daily Star that the religious police are intent on wiping out homosexuality, which is haram, or banned, under Islam, from Iraq, Syria and Libya.

'They set up dates to coax them into being arrested and executed.' a source told The Star. 

'Jihadists have been seeking to entrap gay guys in sting operations.

'Sometimes the men are lucky if they have money and can pay a ransom but often they are taken straight to their deaths.'

But it isn't just ISIS who use these type of honey traps to lure out gay men.

 

Other Islamic groups are also known to have used similar methods to capture gay men, notably the Syrian Islamist group Al Nusra, which has close ties to Al Qaeda.

One man, who escaped Syria, revealed to The Daily Beast earlier this year how he had been the victim of a dating sting in September 2013.

The man, named as Karim, only realised he was in danger after he was arrested, and his date began discussing what ransom they might be able to get for him.

Luckily, his family were able to pay the ransom - and he fled to Lebanon.
