Islamic State executioner Jihadi John has appeared in a chilling new video — threatening to go on “cutting heads off”.
The London-born IS executioner also vows to return to Britain and kill “kuffar” — non-believers.
The
hooded butcher, who has been involved in the beheadings of at least
seven hostages, went into hiding after being identified as Mohammed
Emwazi, 27, in January.
But footage emerged yesterday of him hooded and beside a truck with a grenade-launcher on it.
The eight-second clip has no sound, but a man claiming to be him makes unnerving threats on a separate audio file.
An
activist with the rebel Free Syrian Army who saw the full video — in
which Emwazi refers to the Khalifa, or IS leader — described what
happens in it.
The activist said: “He looks at the camera and says, ‘I am Mohammed Emwazi. I will soon go back to Britain with the Khalifa’.
“He
says something more about cutting heads off — ‘We will kill the
kuffar’. Then the camera shows two masked men that looked like
bodyguards.”
It is understood the footage was shot on a mobile phone about two months ago near IS-held town Deir Ezzor in south east Syria.
Jihadi
John became one of the world’s most wanted men after beheading American
journalist James Foley, 40, in the Syrian desert last August.
